Session 1 – Opening Remarks and Keynotes

In this session the seminar and workshop will be officially opened and the relationship between national policy, technology, spectrum and economic and social benefit of 4G, IoT and 5G will be explained.

13:30 – 13:35 Welcome (5 minutes) – Mr. Thieu Phuong Nam, General Director of Qualcomm Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia;

13:35– 13:45 Opening Remarks (10min.) - Mr. Le Van Tuan, Acting Director General of ARFM;

13:45– 13:55 Opening Presentations (10min.) – Ms. Julie Welch, Vice President, Government Affairs & Public Policy, Asia Pacific.

Session 2 – Presentation and Workshop session

Session 2 will take the format of a workshop where information on the current state of LTE-Advanced, IoT and 5G ecosystems and their roadmaps, policy requirements, general spectrum requirements and explanations of the capabilities, use-cases, basic operation and business opportunities of the technology will be imparted policy makers, planners, technology architects and engineers. Participants will find the knowledge useful for robust, future proof policy making and planningto enable digital services for the economic and social benefit of Vietnamesepeople and businesses.

13:55– 15:30 Workshop Presentations and Discussion

Qualcomm’s presenters Mr Patrick Tsie (Senior Director) and Mr Ricki Taufik (Staff Engineer) will lead the audience through pre-prepared presentation material and be available to answer questions and provide a deeper dive into features of interest related to advanced mobile technologies including LTE-A Pro, Licensed Authorized Access, Cellular IoT including NB-IoT and Cat-M, 5G New Radio and Automotive technologies such as C-V2X.
